What if this was you? Brave Woman Looses Arms & Legs due to Medical Malpractice

I know you probably hear sad stories everyday claiming to be remarkable, emotionally charged, or “if it bleeds it leads”, as is typical of the News these days. But this story – THIS story - is surreal. And will leave you thinking…That could be me. What would I do? Or maybe, I’d rather be dead—

Please take a moment and read this heart wrenching story. And ask yourself, are you this brave? How can I help?

This woman and her family could really use your help. Not only financially, but to warn others about the possibility of finding themselves in a similar position if they let their doctors brush them off and send them home without taking their condition seriously. It seems the rush-to-treat-them-and-street-them attitude, even toward paying insured patients, is becoming the norm. This has to stop. Or there will be more victims of medical neglect and malpractice like Roshelle Mancha.

Here’s a small piece of her story. Let’s start with the hard part – Two pictures to show you a glimpse into her new reality. For many of you reading this, it would be an unimaginable nightmare!

Her Story:

After experiencing severe pain in her abdomen, Roshelle Mancha went to the hospital seeking medical assistance. She was diagnosed with a "kidney stone" and a secondary infection.

She was sent home by doctors to pass the stone, but the infection was never treated.

The following morning Roshelle was found by her children laying passed out on the floor in a coma. She had fallen into a state of septic shock during the night as a result of the untreated infection.

By the time she regained consciousness days later, due to the lack of circulation caused by septic shock, there was massive irrevocable tissue damage to her extremities. Roshelle lost both legs just below the knee. In the first photo, the same tissue damage she had in her legs and feet can be visually seen on her hands and arms both prior to their amputation.

After physically and mentally enduring the amputation of both her legs just below the knees, Roshelle had the surgery to remove both her arms below the elbow.

Although Roshelle has medical insurance, there are many expenses that she and her family are not financially prepared for in her new life.

Roshelle is a remarkable person remaining extremely positive and upbeat throughout this entire tragedy.

There is so much this amazingly brave woman will need to help her comfortably acclimate into her new body and the new limitations.

The family’s goal with GoFundMe is to raise enough money for her to purchase decent upper and lower prosthetics and whatever else she will need to help her in this new chapter of her life.

The information above on Roshelle Mancha, are rephrased extracts from the GoFundMe that was setup for her by her brother-in-law Mike Burruss, at https://www.gofundme.com/RoshelleMancha

Thank you for your time and consideration in helping Roshelle and her family. It may very well help her family afford to care for her or at least get her the prosthetics she so desperately needs. And it may even save someone else’s life in the future if you share her story!

May the Lord keep you all safe and may no harm come near you,
